Product description Tacx Neo 2 Smart Turbo Trainer
The NEO 2 ¡s equipped with a contactless capacitive sensor that ¡s used to measure your pedal stoke and RPM. While you´re cycling the crank end passes the sensor, measuring your cadence (RPM). However not every bike has the same crank position and this can cause that the crank end does not pass over the sensor, making the trainer unable to measure your effective RPM. This can be resolved by adding a metal píate on the crank side that goes over the sensor (nondrive ide of the trainer, you can see the sensor location in the picture to the right)
Placing the metal píate A good way to add the metal píate ¡s to first turn your bike upside down, this makes ¡t easier to reach the crank location. Add the small rubber piece between your crank and metal píate to avoid any scratches, see the blue arrow ¡n the ¡mage to the ight.
The metal píate ¡s placed over the rubber piece facing outwards. Once you´ve found a proper location use the elastic ring to lock the metal píate in place. Only one píate has to be added but make sure you add this on the non-drive side (the LED light side on the trainer).Be sure to check the distance between the metal píate and your frame, you don´t want to place the metal píate to far out. This can cause it to hit the frame of the bike or trainer (see the images to the right).
Enjoying RPM & pedal stoke Once the metal plate has been installed the contactless capacitive sensor is able to measure your effective RPM again, this also enables the unique pedal analysis features within the Tacx Desktop app (on Windows).It ¡s also possible to use an external RPM sensor but you won´t be able to use the pedal analysis features. The sensor is also able to detect hand movement. This can be a quick helpful tool to check if the RPM sensor works correctly, just keep in mind that metal is much easier to detect. Your hand will almost need to touch the NEO frame or else the sensor is unable to register this. Thank you for reading, we hope that your RPM issue have been resolved.

excellent trainer, quite quiet, regulates the load well. I installed on a movable platform Rocker Plate along with an Elite rizer gradient simulator. Together, both trainers complement each other well, but to install the elite riser together with the Tacx neo, you need to make new adapters with bearings to fasten the frame to the tacx neo for free rotation when lifting and lowering

Read a lot of bad things about the shop beforehand. Was very skeptical whether I should really order here. The price was amazing! To install cassette 105 on 11sk. You only need a tool for installing the cassette, a key and a cassette remover, if you still need to remove the cassette. If the cassette is 10sk then a spacer is required

This is not an earlier version, T2850, but they say that the only difference is that high power in a patina downhill, but it is unlikely to reach that level of power, it does not come with a cassette and you have to buy it separately.

Good night. In a comment I read that it is compatible with wheels from 26 to 29, what about the road bike with a 25 (700x25) fit??? And as for the simulator. It is like that, if the route marks an ascent, the roller generates that resistance as if we were going uphill?

I think there is a context error in the question, the compatibility refers to the circumference of the wheel and not the width of the tire in such a way that a 29-inch bike is actually a 700c bike, and of course it can be coupled to bicycles with fewer wheels but it has to be specified on the roller, the 25 that you mention is the width of the tire. Indeed, the roller connected to a virtual app will simulate ascents and descents, in this case it can simulate up to 25 degrees of ascent, regards

Hello, as far as the wheel is concerned, from 26 to 29 we mean the diameter measurement in inches, the tire size has nothing to do with it. In the 700x25 size, 25 indicates the width of the tyre, while 700 are the millimeters of the diameter that correspond to a 28" wheel (road bike) so go easy. As for the route, the roller automatically generates resistance based on the climb, obviously you have to connect it via Bluetooth or Ant+ to the device you use to simulate the route, and use software such as zwift, Rouvy, etc etc

The 2T has a roller function that prevents it from slipping or slipping when making downhill or flat torrents, in a gear change... I have never felt it and I think it is with a higher watt level high, for a pro... I don´t see any other difference other than the lack of the printed T
