Nike takes a step forward into the cross-training shoes market with the Metcon 4 XD. With a completely revamped upper and a series of durability enhancements, these shoes from the Oregon renowned brand represent a remarkable advancement in comfort and performance at a competitive price.
The Metcon 4 XD´s outsole, made of highly resistant rubber with a Tri-Star pattern, favors traction in multidirectional movements and thrusts, extending along the inner back of the foot towards the midsole and partially wrapping it to increase wear resistance and reduce friction on the shoe during climbing and intensive training. The soft drop between the heel and forefoot areas, combined with a TPU heel stabilizer, provides stability and comfort when walking.
The Metcon 4 XD’s upper has a 3D haptic print pattern located along the toe and heel to increase strength and support. A Flywire lace closure provides a precise, tight fit that keeps your feet always safe and smooth.
The Nike Metcon 4 XD provides a stable base, flexible support and extra durability for a wide range of training activities, from sprints and sled pushes to lifting and rope climbing. A new textured mesh makes it stronger, lighter and more durable than any Metcon—ever.

I bought these shoes recently and use them 4 times a week since. First impressions: - Very good comfort even for wide feet (my case) - A very appreciable stability on the halterone phases - A maintenance of the foot homogeneous thanks to a system of hooks of the laces well thought out - Dynamism and Average cushioning + - In phase racing we can hardly deplore a floating effect of the sole (a bit like neoprene shoes for water activities) In conclusion I recommend them for the WOD haltero / gym but much less on those incorporating phases of racing or jump. Very nice finish and studied design.
