Much has been said about the great influence that the new Nike Hyperlift sockliner has on the Metcon 5’s performance, and how it combines perfectly with a wider heel to provide an ampler platform for weightlifting and exercises where stability is of paramount importance. This new sockliner is removable and compatible with all the previous Metcon versions, offering greater stability and cushioning thanks to its thickness and density (8 mm for men, 6 mm for women).

This feature would not make much of a difference if the Metcon 5’s outsole were not up to the challenge. But the American brand has implemented a double density design - softer on the front, firmer on the heel - which, in combination with a new wedge pattern, translates into superior traction in both wood and asphalt. This technology, which Nike calls directional traction, extends to the shoe’s sides to provide greater grip on ropes and bars. Created for the athlete who wants to get stronger, the Nike Metcon 5 is our most tuned Metcon ever. This updated design delivers durability, stability and speed for weightlifting and high-impact training.
